Kabul has witnessed many tragedies, from massacres to lynching a young woman in daylight in the center of the city. But I had not heard if any school was burned down even during the havoc of the mujahidin rule. Today it happened! They burned down a school in eastern part of the city. However, such mundane act cannot weaken our spirit and our determination to get education and keep lightening the candle of knowledge! Our thirst for knowledge will grow deeper and broader and we will avenge them by knowledge! I'm sure knowledge will prevail over darkness, bigotry and ignorance!
