Dr. Sima Samar was born on February 03, 1957, in small village in Jaghori district of Ghazni province, where their family enrolled her in religious school. She learned Qaida Baghdadi, Holy Quran and some basic math’s from his uncle.
Dr. Sima Samar started her school at Lashkar Gah the capital of Helmand province where her father worked there as finance officer and he took his family with himself to Helmand province. She was a book wormer where she rent books from the bookseller and return back after reading the book. She graduated in 1975 from school with 1st grade and willing to become a Civil Engineer but her brother convince her to select Medical Science and she got selected in that, but her father didn’t late her to leave alone to Kabul. In order to convince her father, she got engaged to Abdul Ghafoor Sultani after that his father late her to peruse her education.
In addition, when the government took her husband she promises to herself to never give up and fight for humanity. In July 1982 she earned her MD degree from Kabul Medical university and returned back to her birth place Jaghori. Where she set up a clinic in the castle of his father-in-law.
In late 1984 she left jaghoori for Quetta, Pakistan. She found job in Mission Hospital worked their for several years. In 1989 she founded shuhada Orgonization which was funded by Norway NGO that provides health and education services for Afghan Refugees in Quetta Pakistan.
When the American troops attack on Talibanregime in Afghanistan she was in Germany. She returned back to Pakistan and meet UN envoy to talk about that this time women should be part of the government. As the Taliban regime collapsed Dr. Sima Samar appeared as minister for Women affairs.
In 2002 she founded Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission in a country.
Now adays Dr. Sima Samr is role model for the young girls, she gives new hope to new generation who are struggling to make their own identities.
